Excellent for just clearing the mind and taking the family. I only went once for fishing and would love to experience more of what the forest has to offer.

We just drove there on our motorcycles for the day...such a beautiful park, and it's HUGE!! Thousands of acres! There are about 3 campgrounds and they are all really nice-Stubblefield is for tents only but has nice bath houses. Cagle is for RV's and it's right on Lake Conroe. Not much traffic in this massive park.

We do our yearly camping trips here, it is great. We have to have several sites but we get them all as close together as we can. When Texas is not having a dry spell the lake is great to swim in. Fishing is fun. They have bike and hiking trails. Lots to do.
