CA family thoroughly enjoyed seeing the 'walk' and statue. Oldest g-son is quite the fan.

TripAdvisor and other sources refer you to the old location for this and when you go there the signs say "sorry the statue is being cleaned and will be on display soon." For some reason the city hasn't put up a new sign saying that the new home for the statue is across the street from the Buddy Holly Center...

This is a great outdoor venue that recognizes the contributions of West Texans to the world of music, including everyone from Buddy Holly to Waylon Jennings to Natalie Maines, to Mac Davis.
Plus it's in the center of the Depot District, the cultural and entertainment hotbed of the city.

This statue is located by a busy street in downtown Lubbock in a bad part of town. There is nothing particularly remarkable about this statue. Sure, it is a very good representation of Buddy Holly.
