But, we checked out the Little museum and shops around the deport..cool Little class making shop on the other side of the station.
We took the Trinity River ride from the Stockyards and through Fort Worth. We chose to do the touring car to feel the wind as we rode through. The train car was lovely with wide open windows and beautiful wooden seats. The price was not extravagant at $10 a person. My son loves trains so he enjoyed the train ride... More
We pre-bought tickets for the Trinity River ride on the internet. There were no issues with the website or with picking up the tickets and the ticket booth. Overall, we had a great time at the Stockyards, but the train ride was quite the disappointment. First, the train was supposed to depart at 2:45, with boarding at 2:30. At 2:30,... More
We planned a train ride trip to the Stock Yards while we had visiting out-of-towners and though we live here, had never done the train ride. We arrived at the station about 40 minutes ahead of departure time and had no problem getting tickets (coach class/open air). The train boarded about ten minutes later. We were enjoying the 1.5 hour... More
Took my fiancé and two boys ages 8 & 11. We sincerely enjoyed the train ride. We bought the open air tickets on a 100 degree day and were not hot or overheated. There are waitresses to bring you cold drinks or hot food. The train robbery was awesome. Even the layover in the stockyards was terrific. Lots to do!... More
I was really looking forward to this ride with my wife and 3 year old son. Unfortunately i ended up feeling a bit disappointed with the experience. I would definetly recommend paying the extra for 1st class in summer as the train does not move fast so i would hate to imagine how hot it was in the open air... More
The train robbery was epic. Instead of taking money we received money like coupons. The ending was awesome... the sheriff ends his act in the woods by grabbing a small branch and hiding behind it.. I did not capture it by camera, but it was overly funny!
It was a little rough and trained was tipsy but over al good ride on full size train. Would like to have more scenic ride with great views instead of the city area in the distant.
Great train ride, with a hold up by bandits half way, the kids big and small loved it. Not a lot of time to spend on the layover at Fort Worth Stockyards so if you want to see the cattle drive, you need to make another visit by car.The museum at the grapevine train station is well worth a visit and... The train leaves out of Grapevine, takes a little over an hour to get to the Stockyards, stays there for a couple hours and heads back. The train offers a $3 per ticket discount to military (thanks guys). Train has people who help get you some snacks, drinks, etc..Jim was very nice and extremely helpful. We ordered up a couple...
