We went here after Spring Break. It was very nice! Clean and quiet, we fed the seagulls and ate, found sea shells, took a long walk, splashed around, and really enjoyed it! Though there are lots of places along Galveston Island to plop your stuff down for free, Stewart Beach has a few advantages for families that make it worth the $8 entrance fee. A good beach to visit if you don't want to fight for a spot on the seawall. Plan on a little walk, but bring your chairs and stretch out in the abundant space!

This is a really nice beach for the Galveston area. In general, the Galveston beaches are not the greatest compared to other beaches I have been too (I grew up in Florida). But for the area, it is really nice, lots of sand, volleyball, and other amenities.

Parking was right on the beach and we did not have to pay to park. I'm assuming that's because it was October and the bathrooms were locked up.
