Went with a class. They did a glow in the dark show with sea animals! Very cute. About age 10 -11 is the cutoff for that. I loved it though! The theatre is beautiful and has so many unique features u just dont c anymore. Very close to The Strand!

The films at the Pier 21 Theatre were an excellent introduction to the quite dramatic history of Galveston Island.

For the price of $6.00 this was a good bargain. Their employee was very friendly and helpful. As far as the movie I watched I wasted six minutes of my life that I could have learned by reading google for two minutes.

I enjoyed the variety of places to eat the dolphin boat rides, and Pier 21 Theater was a different treat out of the ordinary

We saw both films. They were interesting and informative and showed the courage and resilience of people in the face of an awful natural disaster.

The movie explains the great storm of 1900 and its destruction of Galveston. The half hour film explains what happened and how the city recovered with the building of the sea wall and the elevation of the homes, churches etc. of the island. It sets the stage for Galveston during Hurricane Ike and 2008's damage and reconstruction.

Loved the historic movies about Galveston! The movies shared the great hurricane as well as the history of the Allysa which is a historic sailing ship you can go see right next door that is a piece of history.

Prior to getting there, I'd read about the different films being shown and had planned to see "The Great Storm", which was about the first hurricane to hit Galveston. I didn't realize that all the different movies were in one theater, so that means if you have a particular one you want to see, like I did, you need to... More

We watched the movie expecting to see the history of more then the major hurricane (sorry can't think of the name) that struck the island years and years ago. We would have liked to have seen the history after that and then information on hurricanes this century like Ike. Kinda interesting but could have been better.
