Enjoy the main street stores and wineries. And there's plenty of places to eat at. I wouldn't recommend parking on main street due to all the traffic.

Over priced German town about sums it up. Good luck finding a good place to eat. We found one good place....the others were terrible. Most of the shops sell the same stuff. It's basically a tourist trap. We've been twice and it's basically like any other Main Street, except this has a German theme.
The people are very nice. VERY...

There is a lot to see on Main Street. We arrived on an Art Walk Friday. There are several art galleries with amazing art work! One of our favorites was "Insight Gallery", There are also a lot of boutiques with a variety of items from clothing to décor. There are several good restaurants.
Very interesting Main Street. The people along the street are generally relaxed. The shops are air conditioned and full of interesting stuff. The Kitchen Shop has everything the kitchen chef can desire and it sells local mead and other wines! The shops are a lot of fun. Loved the shop, "east hills" that is next door to Dooley's on Main....

Seemed like a nice variety of shops. A little something for everyone. From kids, to pet lovers, wine lovers, fashion, leather purses and boots, specialty foods, restaurants (not all of them so terrific, tho').

It seems to have become ruined by the incessant heavy trucks speeding noisily thru town. They need a "loop" badly. It's a cute...

Bring comfortable shoes! Main street is awesome and if you come from a large city like Houston you know a place like this is rare. Main Street is restricted to only boutique shops and restaurants. You will not find a chain store/ restaurant here. All restaurants serve 'German' like food to give you a taste of what it was like...

Such varied shops and vendors made for a great day of shopping and "tasting" our way through downtown.
