I've climbed Enchanted Rock twice now over the years and it's well worth the effort every time. It's only a 3 mile climb round trip, and the climb can be completed in less than 2 hours. Parts of the climb are easy and parts are pretty steep, but if you go at your own pace you'll be fine. The view... More

We only reached the lower (lowest) level! But the view was great and the rock (the enchanted one) was impresive! It worth the trip from Fredericksburg; driving on a very nice road 25 minutes maximum. Better to go (for those AARP members) in winter or early spring or late fall. More

Great place to hike, camp and enjoy the outdoors. But high on our Bucket List now, after visiting, is going back and walking to top of Enchanted Rock. We look forward to the challenge. More

this is a great place to go early or at sunset and watch the sun rise or set. it is a beautiful setting to see. indians thought the mountain sacred because of the unique way the red granite dome just rose out of the ground and the cooling effect at night when the rock "talks" or pops.... More

In 1994 my husband and I got engaged at the top!! I recently returned with my daughter's 5th grade class and it is still fabulous. We had parents of all ages, and everyone was able to climb at their own pace. Take water and wear sunscreen... and of course your camera. The drive to get there is beautiful as well.... More

If you enjoy the outdoors, this is a "must" and you can see all over the Hill Country from up there. It's not a difficult climb -- fine for children and older folks alike. More

Wonderful ride beautiful wildflowers. We did not climb due to poor planning of footwear and water. Bring plenty of water. More

My wife and I hiked Enchanted Rock this past Friday. We "owned" the rock for 2 hours (we were the only ones there). We had an amazing time. The park and rock is gorgeous! More
