Very touristy. Still worth the visit for the sense of what was. Had lunch at the H3 rsewtaurant in the historic Hotel up the street. It was very good. A large remmington Bronze in the foyer. More

We usually make a trip once a year when something else brings us close. I never tire of the atmosphere. Ride the tarantula train. Visit the shops. Go to a rodeo. Enjoy the nightlife at Billy Bob's or the White Elephant Saloon. Always fun. Museums, eateries, trains, horses, longhorns, stockyards. What else do you need for yout Texas experience? More

Gun battle re-enactments, a live rodeo, twice a day cattle drives through the streets, a railroad depot, plenty of steakhouses and restaurants (try Joe T Garcias patio dining) plus lots of shops for the ladies. However, if you hanker for a pair for boots or cowboy hat you can find them in the Stockyards. What a fantastic place to experience... More

We had a great time with the little time we had to spend in Fort Worth. You must see the longhorns! They're behind the Livestock Exchange Building in case they are not out on display somewhere. More

We were in town for the TCU graduation and decided to take our family to the stockyards to see the cattle drive. I was amazed how busy it was for Mother's Day, but it was really fun to see the Longhorns parade down the street and later view them in their pen. It was an interesting taste of the Wild... More

I live 30 minutes away from it but I have family from Michigan and Florida that when they come to town that's the place they want to go every time!! You have to see the cattle drive at least once, but again my family wants to see it every time!! Where else do they stop traffic to bring the longhorns... More
