aside from the Landmark itself, the outlying district is covered with cool spots to stop and have a bite or a cocktail. its worth the trip. More

This is the actual site of Kennedy's shooting. You can walk around the imagine what it was like, or listen to the interpretors that man the area. There is an x on the road where the assasination took place. The area is landscaped nicely and there are several historic buildings and monuments, including an original log cabin, in the area. More

When there is a plaque on the grassy knoll that reads something to the effect something of significance happened here a long time ago, it is pretty lame. For the most part, any "official" markings or indicators are not helpful at all. More attention to Dealey the former newspaper publisher than the events surrounding JFK. More

went ther to fill in the day and found we could have stayed the entire day. Thorough history of Dallas - worth the visit. Cheap $8 More

Like many downtown areas, there are a lot of "street people" around the Plaza, trying to sell or give away informational newspapers and/or brochures. All are unnecessary. The Plaza, itself, is pretty. In the summer the fountain runs, and gives the area more polish. Otherwise, it looks a bit tired and rundown. There are few interpretive signs for those seeking... More
