One of the loveliest sites I've ever visited. The Visitor's Center is very nice and the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. They're all very knowledgeable about the history and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in to the Center. Even if you go to just have a picnic in a nice location this is must. More

My friends, daughter and I attended the 18th Century Christmas candle light tour event and had a wonderful time. It was great to see how the folks at the British fortification in the Cherokee territory celebrated Christmas during those days. Hats off to all the staff and re-enactors who took part in this spectacular event. More

It isnt a themepark but if you love history then its a great place to visit, makes some great pics with the lake in the background along with the smokies veering off on the horizon.. Informative, clean and a nice surprise in such a small town.. More

FLSP is located in Vonore, TN close to the Cherokee National Forest, Smoky Mountains National Park, 'the dragon' (Hwy 129 to Fontana), and the Cherohala Skyway. The fort is actually sits on an island. It reminded me of Fort Donelson in Dover, TN: You come around the river bend and here is this big fort. The visitor’s center has a... More

They dont reinact everyday so check thir calender. Cannons firing, guns firing, violins playing, juggalers, I felt swept away back in time. If the faire wasnt going on... More
