As a lifelong horse enthusiast and former horse owner, I was VERY IMPRESSED by this stable. The horses are obviously well cared for, CLEAN, good body condition and healthy hooves. The manager and trail guide were friendly and knowledgable. The stable was clean (my visit was in the afternoon), the horses were under a roof (not standing in the sun... More

Nice 3 mile ride through the mountains. No steep hills to climb on horse, and plenty of wild life along the trail. More

this is the riding stable in the Cades Cove area, inside the Great Smoking Mountains, not the one in Townsend. First of all, the place opens at 9am, we were there at 9.30 and the waiting time was already for 2 and 1/2 hours! They told us they have 53 horses so how can that be?! It takes them for ever... More

We took the carriage ride and our driver Gary was wonderful,he let our three yr old ride with him and she loved it. Had a great tour of the cabin while Gary sat on the swing with our daughter. He pointed out things on the ride and we will deff be back on our next visit. More

Staff was nice. Horses were gentle. We had almost no horse experience. They were very patient in answering my child's many questions about horses. Cades Cove is so peaceful. We did not see any additional animals that we did not see in the car. The guide explained we probably more likely see the bears in the middle of cades cove... More

We loved our trip through Cades Cove on horseback! We got a little wet near the end but that didn't spoil our fun. Our guide was Tyler and he was very nice and answered all of my questions. They were very good at pairing horse and rider according to skill level. We are looking forward to our next trip to... More

Enjoyed the Cades Cove Stable ride. Good way to test the waters with the kids on horseback. Instruction was limited, interaction with guide limited, good starter though to see if your family enjoys riding and you can seek out longer or unguided rides. More

Nice slow pace to ride for children and adults, takes you on a ride at an easy pace to see back trails in the Smoky's for flora and fauna. Great place to go, prices vary. Seasonal I believe. More
