This is a really fun tubing experience, I have done it three times now. The staff is friendly and the scenery float is beautiful! Be aware please don't so this if you can't swim! There is a lot of boulders and very low trees that you need to dodge and be aware of! That does get a little dangerous, I... More

The Smoky Mountian River Rat is a great place to take the family. My family and I went tubing a few times last year and enjoyed it so much that we went back a few weeks ago and this time we bought season passes. The season pass is not overly expensive and it pays for itself with two visits to... More

The water was freezing, but we didn't mind. The tubes were clean & I felt pretty secure. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Bathrooms were reasonably clean for that type of place. We enjoyed our time there.

this was our first time for tubing down the Little Pigeon river or any river for that matter with the exception of lazy rivers at water parks. We had great fun & got very wet. The staff was very friendly & very informative. I asked about the Dam business concerning the other tube business in the area & the staff... More

Class A outfit! We're very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this group. Water was really cold the day we were there. They gave us a second day free because we got there after 4pm.

This is our third year visiting River Rat. We went June 6 this year. Great fun, however this year there is a new take-out point. Very dangerous!! Not like previous years. My daughter and several others were hurt that day according to the manager. Serious consideration for a new or improved take-out are necessary. If it is not improved we... More

We are a family of 5 with kids aged 16,12 and 4. We spent a sunny vacation day with Smoky Mountain River Rat on 6/4/13. We had a blast. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The equipment was in good repair. The river was COLD! We found $1 off coupons, so we spend $12 a person (4 year old was... More

We went on a float today. I apparently did not spend enough time researching this particular company because we stopped at the first "River Rats" we came to...unaware that were two locations. If you have children, go to the main location! We had a 10 yr old and a 7 yr old in our party plus 5 adults. It had... More

This river has something for the young family and the teenagers. The lower float is nearly 2 miles of easy floating down a meandering river with a few very light rapids. The lower float takes about 1.5-2 hours to complete. The upper section is for the more adventurous, small rapids within 25 yards of the entrance point get you ready... More

Family float and rapids float are both great. You can travel back and forth between the two on the same ticket in the same day. Plenty of room to stop and picnic on the grounds of Wears Valley location. Great family reunion type of trip.
