If you want to feel like you stepped back in time, this bridge is a definate destination! It's decorated at Christmas with a wreath. Since we don't live far away from it, we include it as our commute home as much as we can.

It was nice to visit a lovely historic attraction between horseback riding and ZORBing. Some may consider it boring but we appreciated this throwback to simpler times.

Just a small covered bridge off of the main roadway. Will get you to stop and off the beaten path for a few minutes, though.

We made the mistake of trying to visit during the car show this weekend. Gridlock traffic made it a nightmare to do anything. The bridge itself was not bad but the experiance was soured by the inordinate amount of time needed to go and come back to the hotel.

My husband and I decided to visit the Harrisburg Covered Bridge while we were visiting Gatlinburg over the July 4th holiday week/weekend. I had decided it would be a nice HISTORIC point of interest, especially since it was listed by the TN Department of Transportation as only one of four existing covered bridges in the state of Tennessee.
