Altho I live in the Nashville area, my May visit was my first. Don't try comparing this garden to some place like Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC. However, it has some lovely features. It also has some great featured exhibits, such as Dale Chihuly's glass last year. A new tree house exhibit just opened. The museum is the former home... More

Love the gardens, this is a great place to spend an afternoon walking outdoors. Lots of trails and unusual things to see. The house itself is very impressive from the outside, but I just don't love the inside. I'm sure some of their art is very expensive, but it just doesn't do much for me and I like art. The... More

The gardens here in April were a tad disappointing---not that large of an area and not much in bloom. But the garden ticket also includes a tour of art work in Cheekwood Mansion, and they have some very impressive American art (late 19th century through contemporary times) by noted painters. So overall it was worth the money. More

After visiting places like Longwood Gardens, Biltmore Estates and a sculpture park in Hamilton, Ohio I was looking forward to going to Cheekwood as the website painted a picture of beauty. First of all it was very difficult to find if you rely on only mapquest and signs posted. There were signs posted, however they were placed too close to... More

Took our 4 yr old grandson to see the trees, Santa and the trains. He had a blast and we also enjoyed it tremendously. The staff are some of the nicest I have run across. More

We saved our trip to after the Howe Garden re-opened and it was a great day to do so. We enjoyed a 50% military discount on tickets so our trip was $15 to include $3 parking. Staff at the info desk was extremely helpful and helped us figure out what to do, in what order. While the warm spring fast... More
