Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you like beautiful artwork and interesting discussion with the artist, make the effort to stop off and view this Gallery on the main road (next to the Indian Restaurant). Well worth the visit.

Greeted by Steve's wife, we were welcomed to walk around and view the artwork, so beautiful and a real credit to the artist. The thing I found most fascinating is that the artist had actually met all his animal subjects. Hard to tell a lot of his paintings from actual photographs, they are that good!!

Dearest Cindy thankyou so much for your lovely response. It is a special treat for us when people of like mind visit the gallery and really 'get it' with the artwork. If we can show people just how beautiful and special wildlife is then we have taken a step towards caring more for our wonderful shared planet. We hope to catch up again somewhere down the track. kind regards, Steve

Located in beautiful surroundings, the art studio of Steve Morvell is something to behold. Each piece of art has emotion from Steve's connection with his furry, feathered or hairy subject. They are portraitures of friends, not just animals, and this special connection comes through in every image. If you are lucky, you may even meet some of them on his property! It was a great privilege to meet Steve and talk to him about his work and philosophy and also to meet Christine. Together they make this far more than just a simple art gallery.

If realistic wildlife art is what you are looking for - look no further. Steve's work encompass pastel - drawing and charcoal paintings, pencil drawing, brushed carbon ink, pen, watercolour, acrylic and even enamels and bronze on large scale outdoor works. Steve is happy to share his experiences with you if you catch him at home. You will not be disappointed if you were to drop in and view his works, you may even fall in love with his work and want to take home a couple of pieces.

We dropped in and had a great chat to Steve and shared in the beauty of his artwork and his wonderful studio overlooking wetlands in the heart of Halls Gap. Nature abounds both on the walls of the studio and outside the windows. Be sure to pop in when visiting the town.

Thanks so much for your kind words Tracy. We derive great pleasure from sharing the beauty of nature with like minded people.....sharing both through the artwork and my wildlife adventures, as well as helping folks see critters up close and first hand. I hope we will cross paths again somewhere down the track.

Thankyou so much for your very kind review Nicolette. It was a true pleasure to meet and talk with you both and to share the inspiration of nature and wildlife that is a part of my every day as a wildlife artist. Here in the beautiful Grampians National Park, living shoulder to shoulder with the creatures I love brings such joy....and plenty to share with the visitors to my gallery.

We landed in Halls Gap for an overnight stay with the intention to visit the Steve Morvell Wildlife Art Gallery. Steve is a wonderful wildlife artist with a lot of feeling and passion within his creative expression. Steve is a delight to chat with and hear of his experiences of the natural world and his involvement. I am reminded every day when I look at my early morning kookaburra pastel that he did many moons ago on the wall at home, of his beautiful art which generates such a peaceful journey.
