halls gap zoo was worth a visit especially for kids. They would love to also have a picnic and play on the things that they have. Found some of the animals interesting. Lot of walking but hey! good exercise.

My wife and I took our 3 girls (all under 3) and they had a ball. A great place to take kids as there are so many attractions, interactive experiences with the animals and great family friendly facilities.
If you're planning to go to Halls Gap, and especially if you have young kids I thoroughly recommend the Halls Gap Zoo....

The zoos I have been to so far have rather small enclosure but Halls Gap Zoo was quite different. The animals enjoy huge area and the moment you walked in, you are likely to be greeted by lots of peacocks. I was able to get really close to some animals, which was great. Love this zoo.
