Such a beautiful walk so tranquil with breath taking views. Not too strenuous suitable for all ages, we took our dog with us who thoroughly enjoyed the walk. The car park is free but limited space. Do take a camera amazing scenery

Very enjoyable walk. There were some stunning views, made all the better with the snow on every mountain. The walk is not difficult, and there is a convenient car park to start at. The only draw back was the A470 ruins some part of the walk, especially because they are doing work on it, and the diggers can be heard...

Relatively easy walking at a high level offering great views. Pass through very pleasant scenery. Some people may find the height a little challenging. In that case wiser not to attempt in poor weather.
A great walk for all age groups and ability. Not too strenuous and don't be put off by the walk's name, the Precipice walk afffords great views; you don't need to worry if you suffer from vertigo! A lovely walk alongside a lake and then following a contour around a hilltop, overlooking the valley. 2.5-3.0 hours and very pleasant!
My husband and I are not walkers (well we weren't until we came here!) but as we were staying in Dolgellau, and I wanted to try out my brand new camera, I did a bit of research about walks in the area and opted for trying The Precipice Walk. It really was a gorgeous day out, the views are fabulous....

Lovely views, especially of the Cadair Idris Ridge. I walked up from Dolgellau but there is car parking at start and from there the walk is fairly flat and gentle and suitable for msot people, although the path is narrow in places and runs around a steep slope for part of teh walk. Well worth a visit on a fine...

A head for heights helps and the walk is level if at times rocky. A short walk in any weather conditions makes this an all year round outing.
It is a 3 mile round trip. The walk is not strenuous but could be slippery after a rain. We had two 60+ and an infant in our group. We did it in less than 3 hrs. But you got to be careful
As an alternative to the three hour climb of Snowdon we chose this shorter and nearer walk, with a great reputation.
The start was a little hard to find, but a hunch and a satnav guided us there.
The start has a car park, toilets and picnic area which is very helpful.
The route itself begins gently. Turn right at...

The views of the Mawddach Estuary are always breathtaking - one of the best walks in Britain! At times clinging to the precipice above the river, the scenes are dramatic, though never too scary or difficult. At the western most end there is a bench, and it is worth saving your sandwich until then and drinking in the view all...
