Me and my partner spent the day here, took a while to find as the sign posts werent very good. To the people who found it 'disturbing', theres nothing wrong with the zoo as it wouldnt be 'open' as they have to have checks. Some of the animals environment was a bit small yes, but its a small zoo doing... More

Me and my partner decided to visit colwyn bay mountain zoo today as I had not been there since I was a child and have really enjoyed other zoos we have visited. If you consider yourself as an animal lover or someone who has heart... Please don't visit this zoo! On entering the zoo it seemed a fantastic location for... More

We had a lovely time walking around the Welsh Mountain Zoo. It isn't very well advertised/sign posted and can be tricky to find but I remembered going there when I was younger so we hunted it down. It is a lovely little zoo with some more unusual animals like the red pandas. It was fairly quite when we went so... More

Overall it was a decent zoo, although small it is definitely in need of updating of the enclosures. Alot of them are simply wire fences or double pane glass with spider webs in between the panes so it is difficult to see the animals clearly. Many of the enclosures are tiny. The poor snow leopard just laid there and looked... More

Worse 'zoo' i have ever been too! The enclosures are too small for the animal and they all look unkept. My boyfriend and i decided too leave after 30 minutes as it was too distressing too see these beautiful animal in such unsuitable enclosures. The tiger who is on his/her own just sat there in its open enclosure when in... More

I took my girlfriend here as a surprise as she is a regular zoo visitor! In comparison to other zoos (including one near us in Cheshire), I really liked this as it felt that the animals were closer and we were not walking any distance without seeing more animals. There were a variety of animals - impressed by the Tiger,... More

It's my third visit to the zoo and every time I have no complaints... Yes, prices could maybe a bit more competitive but take a packed lunch and really enjoy your day out :) There is a great variety of animals and I felt that they were very well looked-after. My keepers give a sense that they genuinely care and... More

A great zoo in a superb location. Plenty to see and a lovely place to wander around. The new lemur enclosure which you can walk through is fantastic. More

Nice size zoo which is very pleasant to walk around - animal enclosures are all within reasonable distance of each other. There is a good variety of attractions; particularly marketed at family outings. Prices could be a little more competitive, but that’s for you to decide! More
