My wife and myself wanted a quick getaway just a couple hours from home. I decided to surprise my wife with a two Day stay at Falcon Rest in McMinnville, TN. The room was decorated in Victorian style and very clean. The staff was very nice and took care of anything we needed. We attended a Vaudeville show with lunch... More

We especially went out of our way to visit this restored Victorian mansion and felt it was worth it. There was a lot of work and expense in restoring this home which has some wonderful Victorian furniture and accessories. The walls were all painted (no wallpapering) in intense colors which I found rather distracting, but was told they were Victorian... More

The integrity of the historical mansion is not compromised by the modern day hosts of parties, weddings, mystery dinners, and other celebrations. In fact the conjoining of modern social events with the 19th century elegance of the mansion is in line with the family's ownership of a resort at that same time period. I loved this tour and my sister... More

Thank you so much for writing. Your visit was delightful. You're right that the Faulkner family owned a mineral springs resort across the road for the mansion, so we are indeed following their example. More

This place is a fine country home B&B. The owners are so-so and I thought rooms were kindof spendy for the area and what we got overnight. Cold breakfast. It's a pretty area, but just a few acres of OK landscaping. Have these people been to the REAL Biltmore? More

Thank you for taking time to post a review, Matt. An overnight stay would have been at Falcon Manor, the B&B on the grounds of the Falcon Rest tour mansion. We’re so sorry to hear your breakfast wasn’t warm. They’re prepared immediately before guests have asked us to serve them. Possibly we miscommunicated on the time you would be ready... More

We thank this reviewer and the previous one for highlighting what we consider a very important part of Falcon Rest's "mission." It's been our privilege, not only to preserve the building itself, but also to be the curators of its history. Sharing the mansion and the stories of the people whose lives it touched helps bring local history to life... More

My wife and I booked the Carriage House Room for the weekend, it was very clean and nice. The owners went out of their way to make sure that we were well taken care of. We joined others for the "'Murder at the Mansion" dinner show and had a great time. They have really done their research for famous personalities... More

Thanks so much for the review, Kenneth. It was great having you and your wife, both for Falcon Rest's "Murder at the Mansion" show and for a stay at Falcon Manor, the B&B on the grounds here. We could see that everyone was having a great time with our "Murder" show, but we really appreciate you taking the time to... More

My wife and I booked a night at the Falcon Manor Bed and Breakfast located on the Falcon Rest property. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was decorated really well with period pieces and tastefully done. We had a very good dinner at the carriage house and enjoyed talking with the co-owner as we ate. We had several... More

My husband and I toured Falcon Rest recently. We were in the area to attend a show at Bluegrass Underground/Cumberland Caverns. We picked up a brochure on Falcon Rest and it looked like an interesting place to visit. The owner graciously gave us a tour of the house. Afterward, we were able to walk around the grounds and make photos.... More

My family and I just took this tour and we absolutely loved it!!! Not only was our tour guide friendly and imformative but extremely funny. The house alone was beautifully restored with great attention to detail. We have been staying in TN for a week and out of all the different historical sites and museum we've visted, this is one...
