This is a very small castle (maybe just a keep) and newly reopened but an excellent stop just outside of Dublin. Beware --- it is closed on Tuesday, the day that we arrived to view the grounds.... Teresa and Margeret the two receptionist greeted us as we arrived and welcomed us in. The three actors who played the lord and lady of the house and the house archer were a very special treat especially... More

Although the castle itself is small, the costumed guides were absolutely brilliant. They told stories that were both interesting to adults or older children and fun for the younger ones... and there... More

The time and building come alive. Really fun and also very inexpensive. Dalkey is also a... More

The theater-style tour made it difficult to truly grasp the history of the castle. Best suited for children, not adults.
