No matter the time of day, Market Square is always enjoyable. Daytime provides a nice park for reading, lunch, people-watching, or any number of things. At night, a good blend of restaurants and bars provide a great nightlife. We moved to Knoxville about a year ago and was happy to discover Market Square. Several trendy (anthropologie like) shops, places to eat or grab a sweet treat. Also, their are often live shows on the weekends during the summer.

Jim Smith at the hot sauce stand (kickstart.com)= awesome! I was very impressed with the whole set up...I am from Boston (Go Sawx!) and I did not expect Knoxville to be so much fun! Downtown was a real treat-we ate at the Tomato Head (amazing!) and got gelato at Coolato Gelato. The French Market was also incredible-the crepes were great....
