Just moved here from Texas, so trying out all the outdoor parks. This one is nice, but what makes it really special is learning the family history of the land. You walk through and can really picture this family living their lives there. It was a nice experience.

A wonderful place to visit whether you spend a couple of hours or all day. The admission is free, the trail maps inexpensive, and leashed dogs allowed on the trails. The exhibits at the Visitor Center are interesting and informative. A short walk on one of the trails takes a person away from any traffic noise-feels like a person went...

It's not that far to go and it doesn't cost you a nickel and I am here to tell you this place is worth a visit; at least once. My friend took me just last week telling me she had lived here all her life and had just discovered it. What a fine place for walking around enjoying the views....

This is the best. You fill if you are in the Mountains but are less than five minutes from downtown Knoxville. The trails are great, the views are stunning, and the fresh air is great for recharging of the batteries. I try to go as many times as possible!

We love the Ijams Nature Center. Really beautiful walking trails and a pretty walk along the river. The nature center has a lot of interesting exhibits. A Knoxville gem.

If you live in Knoxville and haven't been to Ijams, GO! It's a really nice place to walk, run, or have a picnic just south of the river from downtown. The museum is not interesting but the rest of the grounds make up for it. There once was both a quarry and a mine on the property and which you...

Nice nature center, lovely trails...but it is the mountains, so be prepared for a little work out :) Very fun - glad we visited!

I have visited Ijams countless times, and I enjoy it each time. It is a beautiful place to visit, wether you are hiking or simply admiring the wildlife. Try to go when the weather is nice so you can see all the flowers, and take the hikes. They are short, and well worth your time. It is also a GREAT...
