The tour brings the Battle of Franklin and the aftermath alive. It is hard to imagine what went on during and after the battle at the plantation. More

The tour of the manor house took about an hour, and the guide was informative and engaging. Maybe a little bit pricey for the time we spent, but maintaining history has a price. More

This house was at the confederate side of the Franklin Civil war battle and served as a hospital for the confederate army complete still with blood stains in the floor from the surgeries. Mrs. McGavock(mistress of the house) helped take care of the wounded many of whom stayed for several weeks. More

The story of The Carnton Plantation, The Lotz House, and The Carter House and the families that lived in these homes during The Battle of Franklin are too important to miss.
