“Beautiful Park for another visit”

We plan to come back to Franklin to visit this park and go on the 3 mile trail. We went out there on our way out of town and did not have time to tarry there. It was apparent the park is well used and it had a lot of nice picnic areas. Our guide at Carter House had just... More

On Nov. 30, 1864, Union artillery from Fort Granger shelled the right flank of the incoming Confederate attack upon distant Federal defense lines. Also, commanding Union Gen.
