This is a waste of money. Nearly everyone that was on this besides my husband and I had to be in their 70s+ and they even looked underwhelmed. This is too expensive and honestly, I wouldn't even go on it again even if it were free. We were bored to death. The "scenic view" are people's houses that are falling... More

We took the ride yesterday on our first day. you do get a nice view I will give them that. The train ride only last few min going up and down. It cost $15.00 per adult + tax. It wasn't what I thought it was going to be with the kind of advertacement they do and for the cost.

My 7 year-old son loves all things transportation, so we decided to take the Incline Railway at his insistence during our 1 day Chattanooga trip. Be prepared for really long lines to board the railway both going down and then again going back up. This trip is not for the impatient, as it is not all that exciting. If it... More

You have to pay $2 to park at this attraction, but that is for the whole day so you don't have to rush. I was a little apprehensive about the trip, I am afraid of heights, but it really wasn't too bad. The trip up only takes about 5 minutes but the view is incredible. Once you get to the... More

I thought the cog railway in Conway was the only one like this but NO. The Incline Railway was really neat and interesting. When you get to the top what a beautiful scene. We took the walk 3 blocks down to the civil war park was and that was very interesting also. Beautiful scenery from the park also. This is... More

The Incline Railway has a very steep incline, something like 71%. Having such a steep incline gives good views across the countryside. It is supposed to be the steepest incline railway in the world There is no free parking at this attraction when arriving at the top of the railway you are confronted by parking meters thus increasing the cost.

This “Incline Railway, also called “The American Most Amazing Mile” is, with a 72.7% grade incline, the steepest passenger railway in the world! I should mention that the ticket for the railroad was round-trip, so it basically takes you up there, and then back down; while we were up, we noticed that only three blocks away from the entrance to... The entire family enjoyed riding up Lookout Mountain on the Incline Railway. I'm afraid of heights and thought I'd be scared, but not at all! The view of Chattanooga and the river from the top is great. Putting a railway on that crazy incline is an impressive feat of engineering. It's a little pricey for something that took a total...
