The house is not open to the public and it has curtains over the windows so you cannot see inside of the house itself, however, there is information on it located outside. The view from the front porch is amazing. Wear good walking shoes and comfortable clothes so you can enjoy the many trails that are located behind the house... More

A great view of Chattanooga but our 3 year old son stepped in some dog krap that some A Hole didn't clean up, thanks for that. Still worth the visit, but it's hard to take in the view when you are watching were you walk. More

The house is not open to go it but you can still look in. (Wonderful budget cuts.) They have information on it in different places. The view from th mountain is amazing and worthy of a picnic. They have three trails behind the house to hike. One leads to rock climbing, and if that's not your cup of tea the... More

Though visitors cannot go inside (there wouldn't be much to see anyway), admission is free. The views are nice, and there are a few panels of information describing it's significance in the battles for Lookout Mountain. There is a spring house, which is interesting for those who have never seen one before. It's a good quick stop on the way... More

The house looks interesting from the outside, but when I've been there in early May and mid September, it's been closed, with no posted hours. I note that there are no hours posted on this site, either. Nonetheless, the hiking trails and monuments are well worth the time spent investigating them, so I highly recommend the immediate vicinity. More

Wonderful historical site. I'm a little bit biased since my grandfather was born here and it's naturally my families history. Go see it. The authentic kitchen and natural spring cooler are amazing. More
