Signs, signs everywhere reading "See Rock City". Must have seen 50 signs advertising this tourist spot enroute here from Atlanta. Ignore the over kill advertising and enjoy this place. Beautiful waterfalls, lots of moss, steps, panoramic vistas, some deer, and a million gnomes. Dated fairyland with strange gnome statues enacting nursery rhymes under black light, but enjoyed the rest of... More

The Birds of Prey show was interesting. Bring your camera. There are tons of photo ops. Also bring your cell phone for recorded tour guides that are available to call

A friend and I flew in to Atlanta in February and our research on TA had mentioned that we should stop in Chattanooga to see Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the Aerial Tram. I had never even heard of this place but it turned out to be an excellent recommendation, and one that I would not hesitate to recommend to... More

I expected Rock City to be state park-ish so I was very pleasantly surprised by the man-made paths. The views are some of the best and we got some great pictures. Be sure to try the Rock CIty Red and Georgia On My Mind wines at the tasting booth!

Pretty, filled with flowers and rocks. Pet-friendly except for the eateries and shops. Pricey tickets, but worth seeing once. Spent most of the visit at the waterfall/ swinging bridge area. Probably very pretty in the fall, in July it was like walking in the desert. We have heard great things about Shamrock city, when they dye the waterfall green, we... More

My husband had never seen Rock City. I had been as a child and young adult. We realized that he might think it was a bit to kitchy and I might be disappointed with it not living up to childhood memories. We were both pleasantly surprised. The rock formation are great. The view from lookout mountain is postcard lovely and... More

It's a beautiful natural wonder. Very picturesque. Very Chattanooga. My only complaint is the price and Fairyland Caverns. It's creepy at best. I suppose its supposed to be nostalgic. Check out the caves, skip the creepy mannequins. Also, don't miss the overlook. Skip the food in the park. There's a great taco place right at the foot of the mountain... More

While some of this attraction is children oriented it is still great for adults for its awesome views. It is a very clean and well maintained attraction and worth the visit when on Lookout Mountain. Highly recommend for family fun!

So, i love the outdoors and hiking, and the walking trails are truly lovely in the place, and the shops within have unique and interesting merchandise. That said, the place would be SO MUCH BETTER if they took away the creepy gnome areas. Rock City has more than enough natural beauty to be a tourist destination for outdoor lovers everywhere....
