Visiting the Pettigrew Home & Museum is like stepping back in time. It is a wonderful example of the Victorian Time period. There are tours every 1/2 hour. It is a don't miss experience. More

The Pettigrew Home and Museum is a gem in Sioux Falls history. The former home to the 1st South Dakota State Sentator Richard Franklin Pettigrew this is an authentic look at the Victorian age. The home is beautiful and well maintined and there is a 2 story museum attached to the back! A must-see in Sioux Falls! More

Had a most enjoyable tour of this lovely old home with the young woman who was our guide. She began volunteering at the house as a teen, went on to get her degree in History and now is back giving tours. The house has a welcoming feel, is being well maintained and restored where needed. More

The tour and staff made this a great stop. Tour was led by a man who was the maintenance man for the home/museum for many years and now volunteers his time as tour guide. He knew just about everything you can imagine. House was great. Love how the same building is both a preserved house from old and also a... More

We've visited quite a few late Victorian homes in the South and mid-West and this is definitely one of the better ones. The house was directly willed to the city so it didn't sustain damage or abuse. The furnishings are mostly not original because the last wife removed many of them, but photographs have provided the opportunity to re-furnish it... More

I was born in Sioux Falls in 1951. I grew up visiting the Pettigrew Museum. From that welcoming boulder out front to the old heavy squeaky door that let you in I loved the PM. I remember my mom taking me there as a child and I remember going there on school outings. Even as a teenager skipping school I... More
