This was an interesting, laid back but very informative tour of an active excavation on the site of an ancient Indian village. Seeing a real archeological site was extremely interesting. Good museum, especially given that this is based on one site. For us, the most fun was trying our skills with a spear and atlatl. More

While passing through Mitchell we decided to stop in and see the Indian Village. My kids, 6 and 8 really enjoyed the museaum but especially the outdoor activities. They learned about prehistoric indian life and found arrowheads in a pretend dig. The hole family enjoyed it. They are located right on lake mitchell which is beautiful and they have a nice picnic area too. More
