Attention: If you are under 40 (maybe even 50) please read this and take my advice. There is no way you should go to 2001. NO WAY. DO NOT GO HERE. EVER!

This club was highly recommended by locals as a dance venue for our "oldies-loving" age group, so we checked it out Friday night. But we couldn't stay five minutes because the entire building is thick with cigarette smoke. South Carolina passed legislation recently permitting establishment owners to ban smoking, but it's by choice - not mandatory. You'd think at least...

2001 is a nice place to go with a variety of music, three separate area of music, nice place to dance. Good crowd, with nice bartenders and waitresses. Good location especially if you are staying at the Sands Ocean Club, about a three minute cab ride. We got there before 9:00 and didn't have to pay the cover charge.

We are in our 50's and the DJ was great. Music selection was perfect and he even did some triple mixes! WOW! Our waitress Shelly was so cute and so atttentive. Champagne was a little pricey but the manager cut us a deal-Thanks!. We WILL go back when in Myrtle Beach!

We stay not too far at the Sands Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach just to be close to this nightclub and all the other great attractions around the North end of Myrtle Beach.
