Oconee state park is beautiful place to stay with family, near several sites and things to do. Cabins are very well equipped and clean. Fishing, canoeing, hiking are all available. More

The cabins are rustic but clean. Cabin 4 is beautiful sits right on the lake. Can rent boat for the weekend for $30. Putt-putt, walking trails. In warm weather, beach area is open. More

I visited Oconee State Park with my family for an overnight stay in one of the cabins. The cabin was comfortable and very clean, and the grounds were beautiful. However, the best thing about our experience was the customer service we experienced. I realized after we got back home that evening that I left behind a bag containing medications that... More

we went here late Oct/early Nov for a long weekend to see some "The Waterfalls of South Carolina" by Benjamin Brooks and Tim Cook. This book includes 27 falls, so we had to choose carefully with only two days! In one long day, we visited Bee Cove (difficult hike), Spoonauger, and King Creek Falls, both of the latter farily easy,... More

If not for the cacophony of barking dogs this would be a wonderful and peaceful campground. Since most people don't know how or refuse to keep their pets quiet it might be best to adopt a no pets policy. Also, most campsites are right on top of one another. I thought I was fortunate to get one with plenty of... More

Stayed for 10 days on Site 014 August 2011. Had 5 year old Grandson. Absolutely loved it. Love the mountains, cooler weather for August, and nice sites. Went to Fish Hatchery, a must to see. Rented a peddle boat at lake. Watch out for the squirrels. They are quite a nuisance. For instance, one day while exploring for the day,... More

Tent camped here Memorial Day weekend. Women's bathrooms were decently clean (not so much on busy shower times). Hubby said the men's weren't so nice....No fish in the lakes though and you can't use minnows to fish with. Everyone was friendly and there were several activities planned throughout the weekend. (loved the dodgeball) Some of the campsites are too close... More
