The course is offering a discount now due to their greens being attacked by worms. We were told the greens were "playable", but that was not an accurate assessment of them. The greens were terrible, and putting was frustrating and will cost you several strokes by the time you finish 18. Other than the greens, the course was in fair... More

I did not get warned till arrival about the nematodes eating the greens. So a discount is being offered but it makes it expensive compared to other courses like coosaw with fantastic greens. But the layout is great. You need to think about placement of shots due to traps and swamp entering fairway. PRO shop good, food is medium. I... More

I have played most of the public golf courses in Charleston. If you exclude the very expensive resort courses of Kiawah and Wild Dunes, this is the best golf course in Charleston. I generally do not like Arnold Palmer designed golf course, which tend to be wind open and have minimal challenge. This course is the exception. The design is... More

Great layout, holes are framed nicely with native grasses. Really would have enjoyed this course if the greens weren't riddled with disease. Was paired with a member who explained this happened late summer, and I'm guessing it will be quite some time before they recover. Really a shame, otherwise a wonderful course. Wish the pro shop gave me a heads... More

Holes are very interesting with a cross section of them. Range balls are included in the price and it is a nice venue with only one unfair hole; the ninth. .

I think the title says it all. Wonderful views, interesting layout. For the price, you'd figure the course would be in better shape. Of course I did play in early Feb. so it could play different in the spring/summer. I was surprised that they did not overseed the fairways to have them green year round. The greens were hard as... Love the look and feel of Rivertowne. My husband golfed here several times and enjoyed it.
