The water taxi is a relaxing way to go from Mt Pleasant to the waterfront in downtown Charleston. The ride is fun as well as the scenery from this view, including bridge, port and dolphins is also a highlight. In the evening, you can just go for a cruise, bring drinks and enjoy the sunset. Dolphins are usually in abundance.

Don't miss the boat! Water Taxis make hourly trips across the harbor to downtown Charleston starting at 9am. Leave the car in Mt Pleasant at the Charleston Harbor Resort at Patriots Point and avoid the parking hassle. $10 all day pass allows you to come and go when you please. Water Taxis land at the Charleston Maritime Center next to the Aquarium Wharf. The water taxis make a scenic 4 mile loop around Charleston Harbor checking out dolphins on the way. Great for kids and grown-ups who just want to get on the water.

We took the taxi our first day in Charleston. The boat captain was very informative about the surrounding area, and gave us suggestions about what to enjoy. The skyline from the boad was beautiful and we even saw dolphins.

The views can't be beat and the crew was very friendly. Fun to take the taxi from Charleston across to the Mt. Pleasant side of the harbor for dinner or cocktails.

I have used and will continue to use Charleston Water Taxi for many reasons. I can relax while going to Charleston and enjoy the panoramic view of the city, It is easily accessible, conveniently located, the parking is limited downtown and it is an awesome way to get home from the bridge run.

We took the Charleston Water Taxi over to Patriots Point to tour the USS Yorktown and highly recommend this means of getting there.
