We generally play this course as a "warm up" to a week of golf on HHI and I have come to really like Robbers golf for several reasons - in perfect condition, friendly golf staff, never a pace of play issue because 2-some's are paired and the rangers are well trained to keep play moving with a smile, historic markers... Nice course with interesting challenges. Lovely homes to view as well. All 3 Port Royal courses are nice to play. More

If you are looking for a well-manicured course, this is not the place. Each tee box varied from dirt to long shaggy carpet (literally, there was a tee box that looked like they planted some sort of experimental grass). Most tee boxes just not cared for and not cut. Fairways inconsistent, many potholes and dead grass. Greens were in decent... More

Upon arriving, our clubs were taken care of for us and the customer service seemed decent. There was not only range and putting green but also a fairly sizeable chipping green. Unfortunately, the course was in very bad shape. Some of the fairways were really torn up and many of the greens were in similar shape. The bunkers were also... More

Dont get me wrong. This course was very fun to play and very interesting as it is set over an old Civil War battlefield. However, after playing Hilton Head National, this course does not compare for the money. The greens were in pretty good shape, but it seemed like the overseeding they tried to do of the fairways and tee... More

Upon arrival we were met by a surly young man who didn't even offer a "hello". The tip seemed to be expected. One of the staff insisted that we wives get our husbands out of the restroom asap so as not to hold anyone up. There was plenty of time and this was not necessary! The starter wanted up to... More

There was a HUGE alligator on the course. Attractive but scary. I'm from Louisiana, but this monster was huge. At least 12 feet. Golf course was scruffy all around. Poor tees and fairways. Poor greens. In spite of promises to the contrary, no effective marshalls. Round took over 5 hours. Bad experience. More

Amazing course! Beautiful and well maintained. Attitude of pro shop and starter shed staff brought down to an average experience. We were made to feel like we were fortunate to be ALLOWED on THEIR course. More
