Wonderful. We loved the alligator ponds, the turtles and birds. Visited the farm on site and hiked a bunch of trails. A very nice half-day break from the beach. **Bring Bug Spray!!!***. I'm not kidding. You have been warned. :-)

Located within the Sea Pine Plantation this small gem has walking trails, fresh water fishing, picnic areas and a wildflower medow. In the spring it is amazing and should not be missed.

Found this spot while doing the alligator tour years ago and fell in love. We never have a trip to HHI without going here. Almost never anyone there and we always see gators and lots of cool birds/animals. Bring charcoal and food and make a day of it!

The preserve offers a nice place for a stroll or bike ride. A lot of the trails are shaded so you can bike even during a sunny day and not be exhausted from the heat. If you're lucky you might spot some wildlife. We saw some birds, a turtle and two deer. Nice!

Just off the main road in Sea Pines and it is full of wildlife and natural beauty. We went on a horseback tour from the stables
and it was a perfect way to enjoy the beautiful weather.
