I have lived in Greenville for over 30 years and thought I was pretty educated about the history of our fair city until I did the West End Walking Tour with John Nolan. The tour was about an hour long and I learned so many amazing things about Greenville. What made it even more interesting was to be standing right... More

Whether you have lived in Greenville for many years or are a newcomer of sorts, the Greenville History Tour - West End is a delightful way to spend an hour in a transofrmed downtown. Mr. Nolan's style of communicating historical facts keeps the listener totally in tune every step of the way. The walk is not strenous and is dotted... More

I've lived in Greenville for some years and have heard a lot of history, but this hour-long walking tour of the West End was well worth doing. I learned lots of Greenvile trivia I hadn't heard before, found the guide pleasant and knowledgeable, and generally had a good time. A nice tour for anyone looking to learn a little Greenville... I took my 3 children on the West End history tour ranging in age from 9-12 years old. John was great at explaining everything to them in a way that they could understand and enjoy. And as an adult, it was interesting to me as well! All of us had a great time and are excited to take their dad... More

My fiance and I both moved to Greenville within the past year and really love living downtown. We both have a deep love for history, me as a hobbyist and she as an adjunct history professor. We were excited to learn about Greenville History Tours when it popped up on Groupon a few months ago. We got a voucher to... More

The tour was a little over an hour long, and it was full of good facts and figures. John brings along a notebook with pictures that really show how things have changed. He has an inviting personality and answers the crowd's questions. No doubt I will recommend this to others and go on the culinary tour myself.

John is an excellent tour guide who told our students many fascinating stories about Greenville. He is very knowledgable and held the attention of our students with his photos and historical facts. We will definitely use John again for future students.

Fantastic! Learned so much about Greenville and its history. John is a wonderful guide and took the time to answer our numerous questions - very knowledgeable. He was very accomodating about rescheduling due to potential bad weather. Not a strenuous hike either - more of a stroll down memory lane! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have lived in Greenville for 18 years and still learned a lot from this tour with John. He is very knowledgeable of the area and a very pleasant person. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to learn more about the history of Greenville and how it became what it is today. You will not be bored!
