We originally tried to book a private tour through this company, but they did not have time for one the day we were available. They suggested that we could try another company, which I was pleasantly surprised by, since we had booked the tour online. I expected them to want to keep our money! I decided I would just book... While visiting Charleston, my husband and I took this covered carriage tour. We were fortunate to have Todd as our tour guide, with Jake (the horse) as his co-pilot. Todd was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and friendly who answered all of our questions about the history of Charleston's people, homes, and past events. This is by far the best way to... More

There were 6 people on the carriage ride with us. The carriage took us around the historic district and our guide would tell us about the houses and point out things like why there were two sets of stairs going up to the door of a house, and pointed out the porches have doors on them because they were considered... Did you know South Carolinians dislike Ohioans because Sherman (from Ohio) marched to the sea through Charleston but didn't burn them. At least that was the guides story. But us from Michigan don't care for Ohioans, either. The tour was great. It was only an hour long so it kept your attention and I only checked my watch once. It... More

Our tour guide was pleasant enough and very informative. I like that they don't dress up in some sort of costume like many of the other carriage ride companies. It makes it feel a little less "touristy". We just walked up and paid versus reserving ahead of time online. We had 20 minutes or so to wait, which wasn't a... More

Patrick, our guide, and Jacob the horse gave us a fantastic tour of Charleston. Our only complaint: the time went too fast. This is a great way to visit Charleston (and to give our feet a rest). Highly recommended. After the tour, we visited the horses in the stable. Every one seemed to be very well-cared for. Nice to see... More

We kept talking to a driver from another company, who was giving us information and a high pressure sell. (located at the corner of Market and Meeting streets) "If you don't get on the list, you won't get a ride tomorrow." Then when we starting asking questions, suddenly we were told "if you pay $ right now, you can walk... More

Thank you very much. You have highlighted one of the things that makes us stand out from the rest. Next time think about booking online with us. Not only do you get a discount, but you won't have to wait (or wade through the games our competitors try to make you play - the location you mentioned is famous for... More

Visiting my brother who lives in Columbia. He took me on a day trip to Charleston to see the city. Took the carriage ride and learned so much from the tour guide, who I think his name was Steve. Larry was our horse, that I remember! If I were to ever come back, I would take another carriage ride.

Was fun to take the carriage ride. The route is picked last minute so if i was to go again would be better if you knew before you got aboard..

First time in Charleston and wanted to do the "touristy" thing so, of course, that meant the carriage tour! I am so glad we ended up with Greg as our guide and Barry has our "driver". Very informative, funny, and time well spent! Plan on being a little flexible with your scheduled time if it is a holiday and definitely... More
