Our guide was the most informative, and friendly, of the many we had during our week in Charleston. She really knew her stuff! If you are interested in especially fine furniture, you will love this place. museum quality all around. Take advantage of a greatly reduced price by purchasing your ticket when you visit the Charleston Museum, not to be...

The house tour was very well done. Informative and friendly tour guide. The gardens in the rear were very pretty and calming.

We went on this tour at the suggestion of our wonderful guide at Dayton Hall. This home actually has three pieces of furniture from Dayton Hall on loan. Although the furnishings are not original to the house, the guides knowledge of the period, the furnishings and the home made this a great tour.

We've toured a few of the old homes in Charleston. This one was incredible. George Washington stayed there for one week in 1791. It was owned by Thomas Heyward, a signer of the declaration of independance. That in and of itself should draw you here too. Great historical monument with national historical significance. It was rumored that meetings were held...

While George Washington once stayed here, the highlight of this house is really the beautiful and extensive collection of antique furniture. Most of the pieces were made right in Charleston. One of my favorites is a very large, multi-piece bookcase. There is a very nice garden in the back. The house itself isn't as lovely as others in Charleston, but...

One of many homes to tour. It is famous since Washington stayed here on his southern tour. Nicely restored with some very nice furniture. I think it is worth the admission.
