We went on a beautiful sunny day and were able to sit outside for a bit. Inside seating was pleasant as well. More

It's fast, it's comfortable, it's reliable, nd it lets you park practically at the gangplank. This is sort of a no-brainer. Why drive further? Go from here, arrive sooner, relax. More

Take this passenger only catamaran ferry from Quonset Point, RI to Oak Bluffs on the Vineyard late May to early October for $69 round trip (2011). Parking is $10 (cash only). The trip is 1.5 hours and avoids the heavy road traffic to the Wood's Hole, MA ferry. Food and drink can be bought on board. When not on a... More

We live 20 minutes away from this ferry and decided to take a trip to Marthas Vineyard for the day. Everyone was friendly, helpful. It got bumpy (as in... we are on the ocean) as we made way over. My wife was feeling a little sick but wasn't blaming anyone one. I also saw Dads and Moms walking around with... More

In the future I will avoid using this route to get to the vineyard. I would much rather pay the additional airfare then deal with the ferry again. Customer service was terrible, management rude and overall a messy disorganized experience. Shuttle between airport and parking lot left 7 passengers in the parking lot, thank goodness we had plenty of time... More

Boat is too small to handle the open waters in Rhode Island sound. Employees were walking around the boat offering vomit bags as many passengers were so sick. Customer service is also terrible (unhelpful) if you have a billing problem... More

The boat was cancelled. They can't control the weather but did a good job of arranging alternative travel, BUT it took way too long, people hoping to make connections were VERY TIGHT (ie running) but in fairness we did all make it (with a few less hairs perhaps). I have 2.5 hours to make my connection with the original schedule,... More

Vineyard Fast Ferry is terrible in every respect. Do not use Vineyard Fast Ferry. I booked a round-trip ticket a couple of weeks ago. First, once I got to Quonset, after an $18 shuttle ride, the other passengers and I were informed that there would be no ferry and instead we had to take a bus to Wood's Hole, where... More

Took the MVFF over this weekend. Trip to MV was very nice and smooth. Trip back was a nightmare. Crew made announcement prior to boarding that trip back would be a little rough and would take 2.5 hours. Said it would be safe, just rough. Probably the biggest understatement I have ever seen. I would estimate 30 of the around... More

I recently had the misfortune of booking a trip on the Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry. I was taking the Amtrak train from Philadelphia which the MVFF operators recommended on their website. Unfortunately the train was about 1/2 hour late. The shuttlebus from the Kingston Train Station arrived about 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time leaving about 20 people stranded.... More
