The park is right in the city at the point were the rivers join. Lot of activities go on here including the River Regetta and a great July 4th Fireworks Display.

The bike trails go right through the park. It's a gateway from the city to the north shore. Heading in the opposite direction you can get over to Station Square.

This is a nice place for a walk to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. It has been partially closed for the last 3-4 years for renovation but is still worth a visit. Can't wait for the fountain to get finished.

We were told on our boat cruise that the plumbing in the fountain of Point State Park is being replaced won't be completed until 2012. This is a nice park with views of the city and the river. (The construction someone complained about in 2008 seems to be mostly done in 2009.) It's just a nice place to wal around and relax. Also take a look into the Fort Pitt Block House a small museum in the only part of the old fort to survive....

My husband and I tried to visit this park on 11/13/07. After paying $12.00 to park-near the park and the attendent asked how long and where we going to be-we said we wanted to visit the park and museum. We walk to the park through a tunnel under the Ft Pitt bridge and guess what?. The museum is not open...
