Even though I've been to Pittsburgh many times, I'd never been to the Strip until invited by friends- it was so much fun! Outdoor markets, spice stores, specialty stores for Asian foods, Italian foods, bakeries, restaurants, sidewalk food, a great wander and shopping for a couple of hours. It's a short walk from the Heinz history center, another worthwhile attraction.

The Strip District is such a great way to spend your day whether it be with family or friends. There are so many places to eat and so many stores to shop at. I love Deluca's for breakfast, Jimmy Sunseri & Nino Co for a pepperoni roll and I can't leave without buying fresh fruit and vegetables.

Do not eat before going here. There are so many vendors it would be hard to get to them all in a single visit. I would bring cloth shopping bags next time. You can definitely make a day of shopping and sampling all of the delicious foods and drinks that this area has to offer. Take your time and take a shopping bag!

I have been there numerous times and I really enjoy walking the strip! Shopping for fresh fruit, veggies, pasta, and fish are a must when you go. There are numerous restaurants and my favorite is the Pittsburgh Popcorn Company that is located on a side street. They have every imaginable kind of popcorn that they make fresh.

This area was full of all sorts of different people selling all kinds of different things and different foods. A bit gritty and run down but certainly worth a visit during the day.
