Last weekend my husband and I took the Picnic Luncheon cruise on the Majestic. There was a wonderful selection of food on the buffet and the food was quite tasty. Our cruise was 2 hours in length and we enjoyed viewing the city from the water. Like other reviewers have mentioned, however, the Majestic is becoming quite dated and is... More

I went on the the Mother's Day Cruise yesterday. First of all, I tried 3x to contact them beforehand via email and telephone to add on a celebration package and I never received a phone call or email back. Secondly, the steak that was served wasn't cooked throughly and was mostly red inside. You would think that with the money... More

My wife and I went on the cruise for our 37th anniversary. We had a good time, not as much as anticipated. The food was not exactly great, but it was good. Was shocked when we found out that after paying for the trip and the meal, we had to pay extra for appetizers and drinks. They need to put... More

We cruised the rivers last Saturday for a wedding reception. It was rainy and cold, but the Empress was warm and inviting for our party. Staff on board were very helpful and quickly reponded to any requests we had. The boat ride was smooth, the facilities were clean and fresh (some boats are lacking in this department). The happy couple... More

I did not like the fact that we had to pay extra for appetizers and drinks. We got duped into buying the "free-refills" souvenir glass. Boarding time was at 1pm but the cruise didn't actually start until after 2pm and while we were starving our table was the last one to go to the buffet table. On the bright side... More

I wanted to plan a surprise birthday party for my husband. I contacted the Gateway Clipper to get some information and they were wonderful!... well, Phill was wonderful. He helped me to plan everything for the Captain's Dinner Cruise and took care of the tickets, the cake and everything else I needed. The night of the event was wonderful! We... More

Pretty short run on the river. On board entertainment was fun for the kids. A passive entertainment for the family. Sights were nice. More

My husband and I took the Captains dinner and dance cruise aboard the Majestic on Oct. 8th. They start boarding the boat at 5:30 and everyone must be on by 6:30..by 6:45 we were heading out and the Captain gives you a tour as you sight see the beautiful rivers of Pittsburgh. One of my complaints would be we could... More

I took my husband on a one hour site seeing tour in the evening for our anniversary. Over all, I would say the ride was a unique way to spend the evening. My husband and I were able to sit outside on the back of the boat. The narrator over head would explain certain buildings around us as we cruised... More

Came on vacation with my daughter and 4 year old grandson. We took the lock and dam tour. This was very interesting, went through an actual working lock and dam. There was a full bar on the ship, but only snacks and hot dogs to eat. There was a group on board that got a boxed lunch and I think... More
