I was at the University of Pittsburgh for a meeting and walked here during lunch one day. I wish I had a whole day to spend - the grounds are just beautiful and the building truly a jewel in the city. And, it is free to walk around.

Phipp's Conservatory is located in Schenley Park. The conservatory has a grand entrance made of glass. Inside there are a variety of plant exhibits that ranged from a desert, to butterfly garden to children's garden plus many more. Very interesting - and beautifully themed "rooms". The themes change regularly - so even if you have been there before - go back - it is a whole new experience.

They change the layout for the four seasons. Always something new to look at. The fuel cell exhibit never runs. Always well maintained and clean.

The displays were impressive, especially the orchids. I also liked the art glass mingled in with the greenery. I went in the morning and left before lunch, but the cafe looked really good.
