I went with a Discovery Tours group to here and Kentuck Knob. Our coach bus was divided up into 3 smaller groups for docent led tours throughout the main house and guest house. While you cannot take interior pictures (you can take exterior pictures after the tour) the tour really gives you a great look at all the detail of... More

We recently made it to Fallingwater after a few previously foiled attempts. A friend told me about it probably 10 years ago and it's been on our to do list since. Frankly, I was a bit concerned that it would not live up to expectations. It did that and more. The first glimpse of this amazing structure was enough to... More

This was my third visit and I can not get enough of this wonderful home and grounds. Try to take an in-depth tour if at all possible as it is well worth the extra expense. The management of the site is superb with highly professional individuals all around. It is well worth the trip to this amazing place! More

This is a fascinating place to visit. It is full of history. The engineering used to construct it is very intersting. The integration with nature is wonderful. More

Although some reviewers were quite critical of their guides (and maybe rightly so) our guide Maria W. was fantastic! She truly loved the house and was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. My tip, if you really want an exceptional visit, would be to splurge on the in-depth tour, go during the week, and take the 8:30 am tour (maybe even request... More

Fallingwater is a marvel. It is amazing to see. We did the short tour, which lasted an hour. Yes, it is busy. But,you really get a feel for the place. The guide was very thorough. I was worried because some reviewers said you would be on staircases and couldn't balance by holding on to things, but they let you touch... More

Falling water was gorgeous and so inspiring! I would highly recommend reading a little about the place before you go, so that you have some background knowledge. I didn't read much because I figured the tour guide would go through it all, but it was really hard to hear at times, especially with the "falling water." The tour guide didn't... More

Regularly included on any list of great architectural achievements, Fallingwater is a must see destination for any one visiting or passing through the area. The house itself is located within a new growth forest over a waterfall on a watercourse. The building itself was designed by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The house is as incredible inside as it appears... More

This is the most interesting place in the woods - well worth the visit! It's a little hike down to the house but the tours are fantastic. Beautiful setting and the countryside around is gorgeous. It is not too far out of the way and everyone should see it! Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is fairly close by and makes a nice... More

Fallingwater has been on my "bucket list" for a long time. It is one of those places that is too far for a day trip, and too close to make a vacation destination from the DC Metro area. Now that we are in the "stay-cation" stage of life, Fallingwater became the perfect choice for an overnight trip. This house is... More
