We used another company a couple years ago for a tour. We enjoyed both. We liked seeing the farm animals, talking to the extremely nice wood carver/cutter, riding the Amish scooters, seeing the school house, and looking at the Amish house at this place. There is a scooter trail where you can try out the Amish style scooters, and my... More

We went to the Amish Farm and House on a Sunday. We decided to take a tour of the house and the bus tour of the surrounding area. I found the guides of both tours to be knowledgeable and respectful about the culture of the local Amish families. The grounds of the Amish Farm are unfortunately surrounded by a shopping... More

Spent a good few hours here, looked around the farm and paid for the guided tour. So interesting and humbling, was so very peaceful. The guide was informative and helpful. Was such a nice experience. Would certainly recommend.

We took the complete package tour. Our bus driver was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We were able to learn the basics about the Amish life and to see a great deal about the area. The farmhouse tour was also very interesting to learn more detail about Amish customs and beliefs. The farm tour was not as interesting... More

The location surprised me, as it is located in a shopping center, but the guide mentioned that it was once 100+ acre farm and now they only have 25 acres in back of the house. We paid for the basic tour (the least expensive which included a 45 minute tour of the house itself with information that children could easily... More

This was our first trip to Lancaster and introduction to the Amish/Mennonite culture. We thought this tour was provided a good overview to that lifestyle. This is a former Quaker/Amish/Mennonite farm (not sure about the order there) but now is strictly a museum. The grounds are self-guided, but you get a < 1hr tour through the main house to see... I did a self guided tour today to in order to shoot some photos of Amish Culture. Not a bad place to check out. I just toured the farm so I won't comment on the house or bus tour. The farm is easy to walk around, has an easy to read map and plenty of neat things to check out.... More

While the farm grounds were interesting, the house tour was poorly suited to young children, requiring significant time sitting in one place or standing still in rooms while the guide delivered long and slow recollections of their experiences with Amish people. When our 10 month old inevitably became bored and started making noises (not crying, just fussing) the tour guide... More

Very informative, a little pricey though, but then again so is everything down there. I definitely learned a lot about the Amish lifestyle.

Thank you for visiting us last July. We're glad you enjoyed your visit and learned a lot about the Amish culture here in Lancaster County. As the most economical Amish tour of the area, we are extremely conscious of our admission rates and are glad we can keep rates to a minimum. To help our guests save even more, we've... More
