If you enjoy the history of the Great Immigration Wave and have ancestors who came from Central or Eastern Europe or Western Russia, this is one of the finest museums I've ever visited. While limited to the immigrant experience in Johnstown, the story is typical for almost everyone who came to the New World looking for a better life. Excellent... More

Did not have any children when we visited but enjoyed the first 2 flowers of exhibits. 3rd floor is for the kids hands on. More

This center offers some very interesting programs and it is small enough to feel comfortable and included. More

The heritage part is very interesting. Especially if you lived in this area. Not real entertaining for kids. More

This was a great family experience. We checked in as immigrants just arriving to Johnstown and took a historic interactive tour. This is an incredible place to take kids. Three floors of interactive fun filled with plenty for kids to do. They were climbing through coal shoots and simulating floods over damns they built. Awesome time. More

I think this could be outstanding, it's all obviously fairly new and physically looking in good shape. They had some really great ideas in the immigrant tour and the children's museum. However, too many things didn't work, which is a bit disappointing, esp. for the cost. There was almost no one there on a Saturday in January (what else is... More

I have been to a lot of children's museum and it was what it was, the other ones I've been to were much nicer but they were in big cities so this one was perfect for Johnstown, nice for everyone, there was different floors to go to for older people to learn about the area, and a lot of things... We got here a around 11:00 am. You get a card that has an immigrant on it and you get to go to interactive displays about what they did back in the Johnstown factory. After that we saw some displays upstairs and went to the childrens rooftop garden. If you have children, there is a childrens museum. We enjoyed it. More
