A great place to walk - natural beauty, wide panoramas, well signposted paths. Just look out for the park ranger sunblock Nazi who pulled up in her 4 wheel drive to check whether I was wearing sunblock or not... just being Mumsy maybe, but not quite in her job description I suspect. More

We climbed to the summit and then did the 19km lakes guided walk on a superb summer day. The memories of the views and landscape will stay with us forever! More

This is not like other countries' alpine areas! Mt. Kosciuszko itself is rather flat, and an easy walk to the summit. What makes it special is alpine flora and fauna not found anywhere else, a real sense of isolation in so many parts of the park, little creeks winding through alpine heath. Spring and autumn are the best times to... More

Walked up to the top of Kosciuszko through the most amazing scenery and then to see for miles up the top was the icing on the cake More

Mount K is the highest point on the Australian mainland. It's surprisingly flat countryside around the peak - it's alpine and diverse - tarns dot the landscape and the boardwalk takes you on a meandering journey to Australia's rooftop - oh, and the chairlift means you're not too tired by the time you get there. Make sure you leave enough... More

I did this walk with work colleagues and it was amazing. For me, the walk was challenging physically but the scenery was fantastic and so different to the walks I have done in the Blue mts or northern Sydney. The bush land that was burnt out a few years ago look eerily ghostly. We also stayed at a few of... More

The chairlift will take you to the start of the 13km round trip walk to the top of Australia. It requires stamina even though it is 90% on elevated boardwalk, and the weather could turn any time, but well worth the effort. There are well equipped toilets 800m below the summit. The wildflowers are just stunning and don't forget to... More

Summer in the park is full of great activities, we only sampled walking but could see lots going on around us. We walked to the top of Kosciuszko and could see it was popular with many other visiters - most people could do it. More
