We were staying close by in Durras Nth and decided to explore the nearby surrounds. We were amazed at how beautiful the entire area is and then we stumbled upon Pebbly Beach. The beach and camping site are beautiful. Then we met the nasty owners o the cabin areas. There is very little information about renting sites there and the... More

The Pebbly Beach Holiday Cabins offer about the most remote cabin experience in driving distance from Sydney. We took the train to North Wollongong, rented a car at Thrifty Car Rental from manager Bill (exceptional human being). Drove the other 3 hrs... Yvonne and Stuart McFarlane are the hosts, and this is their website: http://www.pebblybeach.com.au/. Only ten cabins, plus theirs... More

Well worth the short detour off Princess Highway. Lovely drive through the forest and a stunning bay at the end. Not much there apart from toilets and a few cabins, and they charge you $7, but the beach and location are superb. Not sure why they call it pebbly beach, as the sand is fine and white??? We would have... More

If you are driving up (or down) the coast along the Grand Pacific Drive near Batemans Bay, take the small side road (Mt Agony towards Depot Beach/Durras North --> Pebbly Beach Rd) to Pebbly Beach. It is a gem, almost free, and takes very little time! Not only is the beach beautiful, it has perfect sand--soft but not powdery enough... More

We enjoyed the drive through the National Park to get to the beach. Our three children loved spotting all the kangaroos and then slowly approaching them . They were able to pat them, even mothers with joeys. It is amazing to see these beautiful animals on a beautiful beach as a backdrop to them.

Wherelse can you see kangaroos on the beach? Only in Pebbly Beach! Pros -They do have a camp site so you can bring your caravan with you and stay for the night - If you are into bird watching, I'm pretty sure you will also enjoy feeding the variety of birds that will happily eat on your palm. - The... This was a great beach and to sit and enjoy the kangaroos was a fabulous treat. If staying nearby, I would recommend this beach for the swimming, walking, and most of all the kangaroos.

I love this beach because there wasn't a whole bunch of people and the water was really great! After enjoying a day splashing in the water (where we didn't have to worry about sharks, jellyfish, or any water hazards), we walked along the rocks and viewed the tide pools. As we were getting ready to pack up for the day... More
