This was an amazingly scary ,fun and totally exhausting .Ken and Pocket (strange name for a girl but she is gorgeous) take you rapidly through the paces of trapeze skill under the big top. I was definatly the old person but there where over 35 year olds mixed with the eager teens. A true learning experience that has all upside... More

It has everything you need from a little australian town. Bigger now than the first time I went a couple of years ago but still gorgeous. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants and the beach is beautiful and not as busy as the gold coast a little further north. Definitley worth a couple of nights stay :) most people end... More

I have nothing bad to day about Byron, I absolutely love the place. It is a relaxed seaside town where you can eat, shop and party. Every one is super friendly, locals and tourists alike and there is always action on the streets/ beach front/parks from fire twirlers to muso's getting together for a jam. I have been in off-... Something magical about Byron. Some say it's the crystals (it sits on a bed of obsidian) others it's the feng shui (the mountains around the bay) and still others the north-facing beach which is uncommon on the east coast. It's certainly attracted the flower people, the surfers and the tourists for a long time and now has inherited that relaxed... More

At the height of summer Byron Bay is a place that tourists and locals love to whinge about. It's very crowded, you have to book for restaurants, cafes are rammed, the traffic jams and apart from the oblivious young everyone looks mildly mad. Having said that it can have party atmosphere at local events that is well worth experiencing. Their... More

My husband & I visited Byron Bay for the first time on a Saturday afternoon during our 10th Anniversay weekend. It took over an hour to follow the long trail of slow moving traffic into the town & find the last car park on the outskirts of the shopping district. It takes a while to walk around. Not good if... good beaches, good restaurants, a lot to do - surfing, skydiving, tours, etc! cool little beach town, not as commercialized/touristy as the gold coast and the locals are very friendly! More
