Beautiful walk. Stopped to watch the kayak riders and the dolphins surfing the waves. Lots of great views along this walk. It was a relatively easy walk but easier returning via the road (path provided)

Ok, so the drive into Byron Bay during school holidays isn't the greatest, a long slow line of traffic past all the accommodation and through town. But worth it once you get to the light house.

We did the 4km walk up to the lighthouse in a few hours and bar the heat it was a very easy walk. Flip-flops are absolutely fine to wear as apart from a few parts in the forest, it's a paved walkway. It's well sign-posted and there are a few 'did you know' facts along the way. The most Easterly...

The view from the lighthouse is incredible , one of the best in the world I believe. It sums up everything there is to love about living on the coast in Australia. Beautiful water, amazing beaches, incredible views, heaps of things to do. If you go to Byron Bay, it is a must see.
A great place to walk to and enjoy the views. It is an unspoilt natural beauty. We saw some fishermen out on the rocks but how wild it is out there!
This is a great little walk along the beach, up to the cape and the lighthouse, then back to town through the forest. The paths are well maintained and the walk can be done in flip-flops. At the cape itself (mainland Australia's most easterly point) there is pole you can attached your camera to so you can take a photo...

If you go to Byron you must visit Cape Byron. Hang gliders cruising overhead, lush bushland & if you're lucky you may spot the odd humpback whale or ten. Beautiful.
this beach just disappears into the horizon. impossible blueness. nice surf to swim in. happy dogs playing on beach. dolphins fishermen who gave free fresh fish.
